the fine print

.
Is there anything that does not partake of the similarities between socialism and Christianity -- appealing as each does to the human heart in its basics, yet horrific in many of its particulars?

"From each according to his ability; to each according to his needs" -- socialism.

"Caritas," a Latin word sometimes translated or interpreted as "love for all" -- Christianity.

As in Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll:

Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the bloodied talons of balm, heart bursting with longing and profound approval. Go quietly and with a purposeful pace.

And bring a First-Aid Kit.
